White Oak tops Ashley

The Daily News

Having already seized the Mideastern 3-A/4-A Conference's top 3-A seed, White Oak is looking for momentum heading into the state playoffs.

The Vikings may have got that in a 7-2 victory over Ashley at Jacksonville Country Club on Tuesday.

"We were aggressive and we have been working on that," said Vikings head coach Dirk Cline. "And when I say aggressive I mean trying to put opponents in stress by making them work harder by moving them left, right, up and back, and putting the ball away when you get the chance."

It appears many WOHS players did that, as Lindsey Cline, Meghan Edwards, Jessica Roff and Dominique Moore each won their singles matches.
